Select Sanitation Service has contracted to provide Swanton Township residents bi-weekly garbage collection. We are so grateful for the opportunity to provide service to Swanton Township residents in these upcoming years. With that in mind, there are a few things you need to know:

• Garbage pickup for Swanton Township began on Monday January 4, 2021 and continues every other Monday including holidays.
• Would you like pickup every week? It's easy to add weekly pickup (for a discounted fee) by calling 419-533-2372.
• The new cans with the orange lids are the SAME SIZE as your old cans. The only difference is the color and shape. They are still 95 gallons. You may notice that they are a little wider at the bottom. But rest assured, they still can hold the same volume.
• Garbage should be ready to be picked up by 6 AM. 
• Place your can 3 feet from the road with the lid closed. The handle and wheels should face your house. Make sure the can isn't close to anything as we run automated trucks.
• For bulk items pickup, please call us at 419-533-2372.
• Please bag everything. Whatever fits in the can is what is allowed. Each can typically fits 6 to 8 of the 15 gallon kitchen bags.
